LA LIGA NIGERIA, FOOTBALL COACHES RATE EKITI FA HIGH IN STANDARDS, FORESIGHT

 

Following the conclusion of a two day seminar for football coaches and games masters/mistresses in Ekiti state courtesy the State Football Association, an ex-international footballer, Mutiu Adepoju who was with the La Liga Nigeria crew during a a two day seminar in Ekiti state has expressed delight at the foresight of Ekiti State Football Association which harps on football development from the grassroots .

 

Addressing members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Ekiti State chapter, the La Liga Nigeria Ambassador said he was elated at the composure of the participants who were coaches drawn from all local government areas in the state and arrangement of the seminar by the FA.

 

He expressed optimism that the participants must have gained immensely from the seminar with hope that the coaches would do their job as future and destiny moulders for young children more effectively and efficiently.

 

The Nigerian football legend assured that with the synergy between La Liga Nigeria and Ekiti FA, more efforts would be geared towards keeping in touch with Ekiti football coaches would be intensified for them to be able do the needful at discovering and nurturing raw talents that are marketable in global football ecosystem.

 

Also speaking during the press conference, the Director and leader of the team of La Liga Nigeria during the seminar held in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, Mr Chiji Desmond applauded members of SWAN for supporting the vision of the State Football Association stressing that more laudable achievements were plausible through consistent reportage of activites relating to grassroots football development.

 

Mr Desmond promised to involve the media more in subsequent programs of La Liga Nigeria in Ekiti State having been treated to the best of hospitality and organization in the state by their hosts (Ekiti FA)

 

On the efforts of La Liga being one of the best football leagues in the world at spreading it’s La Liga culture to everyone and everywhere including Nigeria, the duo of Adepoju and Desmond blamed the Nigerian factor for the inability of many talents to make headway in europe.

They urged football coaches and scouts not to hurriedly expose players who are not prepared mentally , psychologically and physically for the technical and other challenges that youngsters face outside of their comfort zone.

 

The Ekiti State Football Coaches seminar packaged by the State Football Association in collaboration with La Liga Nigeria was described as an avenue to equip the coaches with the required technical know-how to properly groom, monitor and support players from the cradle.

The chairman Ekiti State Football Association, Mr Bayo Olanlege who promised more people oriented initiatives fro different stakeholders in the football industry in Ekiti state said the Football seminar had further broadened the horizon of indigenous coaches.

 

The coaches led by the chairman Ekiti State Coaches Association, Mr Kehinde Anjorin did not only applaud the FA boss for his purpose driven and capacity building initiatives but they lifted him in acknowledgment of their delight as participants in the two day seminar.

 

Commendations also came from members of SWAN led by its chairman, Alhaji Qozeem Oladapo who said the sports Journalists we’re proud to identify with the strides of the current Football Association headed by Mr Bayo Olanlege.

There were certificates for all coaches who participated while the coaches took turn to take photographs with the “headmaster” Mutiu Adepoju and other members of the La Liga Nigeria.

The resource persons at the seminar took the coaches through some practicals on the football field while the other section took place at De Jewels Apartment Hotel in Ado.
