CeProd’s Maryam Abdu has been appointed as the first finance professor at the Kaduna State University.
The institution in a statement by the Director of the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development (CeProd), Dr. Chris Egbu, noted that the promotion recognizes Abdu’s exceptional dedication, scholarly contributions, and profound impact in the field of finance.
According to Egbu, her journey to professorship serves as an inspiration to aspiring academics, reflecting her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Abdu’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She currently holds esteemed positions, such as Vice President of the Academy of Management Nigeria, and is a fellow of prestigious organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, the Institute of Directors, and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
