IWARO COMMUNITY REJOICES, COMMENDS OYEBANJI OVER PROVISION OF TRANSFORMER

The people of Alaafialoro/Iwaro community in Ado-Ekiti have erupted into joy as a 500KV transformer was installed by the Governor Biodun Oyebanji led administration in the Community.

Members of the community trouped out en masse at the sight of the transformer and expressed joy, dancing with excitement as technicians fixed the transformer.

Some of the Community Landlords Association Executive members and other residents expressed satisfaction with the gesture, noting that the community had been in darkness for over 15 years due to lack of a transformer to power the community.

Vice Chairman of Iwaro Zone 2 Community, Mr Niyi Afeniforo commended the State Governor for matching promise with action, noting that several attempts have been made to get previous administrations in the State to fix the transformer but all to no avail. He promised the unalloyed support of the community for the government of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

An aged woman, Mrs Ronke Ayeni recounted the inconveniences residents of the community had encountered for several years due to lack of power supply, saying women in particular had been at the receiving ends as nothing could be refrigerated, resulting in constant visits to the markets.

A popular bar operator, Miss Famodimu Adeyemi could not hide her joy as she had suffered low patronage due to power outage in the community for several years. She appreciated the State Government for yielding to the request of the community, saying economic activities will be boosted as a result of the gesture.

Others, including Fatai Adejumo, Obayemi Emmanuel, Oluwakemi Famuagun and Bayo Aina eulogised the Oyebanji led administration for coming to the aid of the community, promising to come out en masse to support the Governor when the need arises.
