Ekiti Legacy Lions club under district 404B2 Nigeria has distributed foodstuffs to people to combat hunger and uplift the society.
The distribution was done at Iludun community, Ekiti State.
The charter president Ekiti Legacy Lions Club Lion Chief Folake Adebayo said the Feed the Hunger Project is a way of making impact in the families of those facing food insecurity.
She added that the initiative is not merely about providing sustenance, it is about restoring hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging to those who may feel forgotten or overlooked.
Lion Chief Folake who explained that one of the missions of Lions club is to alleviate hunger and empower the community indicated that every bag of rice, and Garri distributed represents the commitment to serving one another and embodies the core values of Lions Club which is compassion, generosity and service.
Some of the beneficiaries of the raw food who could not hide their joy were seen showering prayers and praises on Ekiti Legacy Lions club for the loving gesture towards them, while praying that the initiative should be a continuous one.
The charter president Lion Folake appreciated the members of Ekiti Legacy Lions Club for their unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and selfless contributions which have been the backbone of the initiative.
She promised that the initiative will continue in different communities in Ekiti State with the support of members and sponsors.
