Hope, Health & HIV Awareness: EkSACA, NACA Storm Erifun, Ado Ekiti with Free Medical Outreach 

The Ekiti State AIDS Control Agency (EkSACA), in collaboration with the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), has brought life-saving health services to the doorstep of Erifun Community in Ado Ekiti as part of its strategic push to combat HIV and improve public health in Southwest Nigeria.

 

The outreach which offered free HIV counselling, malaria and diabetes screening, administered general medical consultations to pregnant women and youths as they received medications and health incentives.

Speaking at the forum, the Executive Secretary of EkSACA, Dr. Dairo Ojo emphasized the importance of preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV to sustain healthy living.
Also speaking at the event,NACA Southwest Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Abiola Adedara, explained that the outreach aimed at ensuring the underserved communities have access to vital health services.

The event supported Nigeria’s commitment to the global 95:95:95 target to end AIDS by 2025 and was part of a larger regional campaign addressing the HIV burden in the Southwest.
