This is a time we review activities of our colleagues with a view to appreciate and encourage ourselves for a great service we are rendering to our society.

The dissemination of information is very key to the progress, development and survival of any society and this is why journalists should be highly appreciated and encouraged.
In this light, we urge the stakeholders, our esteemed citizens, governments at all levels as well as employers of media practitioners to make conscious efforts to appreciate and encourage our colleagues.

While we urge employers of reporters to ensure that their welfare and commensurate remuneration are top priorities, we also urge the public to understand practitioners in the media as friends and even , saviours of our society.
