First Female Governorship Candidate Elebutte-Halle moves to tackle Shortage of water in Ekiti Environs

…as Stakeholders lauds Philanthropic Gesture

In an effort to boost water supply in various environment in Ekiti state for the benefit of the people,the First Female Gubernatorial Candidate in Ekiti , Mrs Kemi Elebutte-Halle has donated motorized boreholes for the Police Headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the state Capital.

Elebutte-Halle, represented by her husband, Otunba Haim Halle at the Project site said the water borehole when completed would alleviate water shortages in the headquarters.

He added that the gesture forms part of the philanthropic act of his wife for the benefit of humanity.

“People called her Erelu Bambam, she is doing all these things to benefit the people of the state, she gives to various sectors of people ranging from the market women, scholarship to indigents students, offset hospital bills of the less privileged”.

He urged well meaning individuals to cultivate the habit of giving back to the Society devoid of colouration.

“It is good to be good to others irrespective of where they are from, who they are and wether you can get something back from them or not, by giving to the needy and providing for our neighbors, Nigeria will become a better place for all, He stated.”

Also the Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee in the state,Ambassador Sunday Makinde said that the borehole would eradicate challenges of water supply in the area.

He said: “I am very familiar with the men of the force, in my dealings with them I discovered that one of their major problems is water. I then decided to move around to see those who can help us out, Mrs Kemi Elebutte-Halle, a woman of great virtues came to our rescue by financing the project.

“She is a blessing to our generation and we are lucky to have her in the state, she is doing all these without any pecuniary gains, I want to appreciate her on behalf of the police community and the state government, he said.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu who applauded Elebutte-Halle added that she has contributed her quota to the development of the nation at large

 

Also the Personal Assistant to Mrs Ellebute Halle, Mr Segun Adeyemi, and a water Consultant, Dr Mark Makinde described the gesture as commendable and has given enhancement to their jobs.

“Clean water is one of the needs of our people and this is a veritable opportunity to give to the society, Mrs Kemi Elebutte-Halle, Erelu BamBam as fondly called has indeed showed that she is a mother who has compassion for her people”.

They added that the Borehole was one of the series of community Projects embarked upon by Mrs Ellebute Halle “who had through a group she founded, Dominion Group impacted many lives positively.

“Erelu BamBam has a group called Dominion Group and a lot of people have benefitted from her gesture, two weeks ago we empowered hundreds of people ranging from #200,000 to #2,000,000, some to continue their Education, some to offset their bills, and some to start business, they noted

“government alone can not provide the necessary social amenities and facilities for all”

They all tasked relevant Stakeholders to support government in order to serve the people better.
