Faparusi Submits Nomination Forms, Says He’s in Race to Make a difference

Hon. Engr. Bamidele Faparusi, a frontline aspirant for the Ekiti South Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has formally submitted his nomination forms, signaling a major step toward securing the party’s ticket in the forthcoming primary election.

Faparusi, popularly known as Fappy, submitted his forms amid growing enthusiasm and widespread support from party members, grassroots leaders, youths, and women groups across the senatorial district.

A former member of the House of Representatives (2011–2015), Faparusi is widely regarded as a tested and trusted grassroots politician, whose tenure was marked by impactful empowerment programmes that directly benefited hundreds of constituents through the provision of motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, freezers, and other livelihood tools.

Speaking shortly after submitting his nomination, Faparusi expressed confidence in his chances, noting that his decision to contest is driven by a deep commitment to service and the desire to deliver effective representation for the people of Ekiti South.

“This is not just about ambition; it is about continuing a legacy of service. I have always believed that leadership must translate into real impact on the lives of the people. With the support of our party members, I am confident that we will secure victory and move forward together,” he said.

He further emphasized the importance of party unity and loyalty, urging members of the APC to rally behind a candidate with proven capacity, experience, and a strong connection to the grassroots.

Political observers note that the race for the Ekiti South APC ticket is shaping up to be highly competitive. However, Faparusi’s track record, accessibility, and long-standing loyalty to the party have positioned him as a leading contender with a strong pathway to victory.

Supporters across the district have continued to mobilize, describing his candidacy as a people-driven movement anchored on performance, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.

As the party prepares for its primary election, many stakeholders believe that Faparusi represents the best chance for APC to retain and strengthen its hold on Ekiti South Senatorial District.
