European Investors To establish Cashew,Cocoa Processing Industry in Ilawe Ekiti

A big agricultural produce processing plant will soon be established in Ilawe by a group of agricultural investors from the United States of America and Europe .

 

 

A press release signed by the Special adviser on media to Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti,High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi  stated  that the group who visited the Alawe of Ilawe HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1,in his palace explained that the company would establish processing industry that could process Cocoa,Cashew, Kolanut among other agricultural products.

The investors will also establish large cocoa and cashew plantations in the town to feed their processing plant .

” The result of a laboratory soil test of a large area that would host the industry and the plantations has come out positively”

Reacting to the development,the Alawe thanked the investors and gave them the assurances that they would enjoy the cooperation and hospitality of his people.
Oba Alabi expressed his appreciation to Ekiti State Governor Dr.Kayode Fayemi for providing the enabling environment for fruitful engagement in Ekiti State. The Alawe further thanked the Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture and food security Hon Olabode Adetoyi…for facilitating the investment.

The investors later visited Ilawe main market (Oja Oba ) where they saw a lot of  farm products including Plantain and yams
