A student of Geology from Ekiti State University, EKSU, Ado-Ekiti, Onile-Ere Elizabeth Olamide, has emerged as the best-graduating student among her peers at the International Students’ Day celebration held in Abuja.

Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs. Bode Olofinmiagun stated that Onile-Ere, with a CGPA of 4.65, emerged as the BEST FINAL YEAR STUDENT at the competition to mark the year 2024 edition of the International Students’ Day.
“Arising from the above, the proud EKSU student has become a beneficiary Indigenous Postgraduate scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree specializing in the field of Medical Geology.”
The theme of this year’s celebration was CELEBRATING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, aimed at celebrating excellence and hard world work among students.
The International Students’ Day was first observed in 1941 at the International Students’ Council in London.
The Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Babatola Ayodele, expressed delight at the development, congratulated the beneficiary for the well-deserved award, and charged other students to emulate her.
