The Ekiti State Government has called on eligible youths in the state to take advantage of the Nigerian Army’s 92 Regular Recruits Intake Exercise for Tradesmen, Non-Tradesmen and Women, urging qualified candidates to participate actively in the recruitment process.
The call was made during a sensitisation programme organised by the Nigerian Army in collaboration with the Ekiti State Government, through the Cabinet and Special Services Department, Governor’s Office. The programme was held on Friday at Sani Abacha Hall, Old Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti.
In her welcome address, the Director of Cabinet and Special Services, Dr. Olabisi Ogunmodede, who represented the Permanent Secretary of the Department, Dr. Oyeyemi Kayode-Ojo, appreciated the state government for its support towards the successful organisation of the programme.
She described the sensitisation exercise as timely and important, urging eligible youths to come out en masse to participate in the recruitment process.

Dr. Ogunmodede noted that the recruitment exercise was free of charge and encouraged prospective applicants to visit the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal for relevant information and registration.
She stated that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji was committed to ensuring that Ekiti State meets its recruitment quota. She therefore called on parents, community leaders and other stakeholders to support the initiative by encouraging qualified youths to apply.
Speaking at the programme, the Nigerian Army team leader, Brigadier General Olusegun Opeyemi Okungbore, appreciated Governor Oyebanji for the warm reception and hospitality accorded the delegation during its visit to the state.
He explained that the sensitisation programme was designed to enlighten the public about the recruitment process and encourage eligible Nigerians to consider a career in the Nigerian Army.

Brigadier General Okungbore highlighted the benefits of joining the Nigerian Army, including career stability, regular pay and allowances, career advancement, acquisition of valuable skills, specialised training, educational opportunities and access to welfare services.
He stressed that joining the Army offers young Nigerians an opportunity to demonstrate patriotism and discipline while contributing to national security and the protection of Nigeria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Brigadier General warned prospective applicants against fraudsters demanding money to facilitate recruitment, emphasising that the exercise was completely free of charge and that all applicants must comply with the official recruitment procedures.
He announced that online registration for the 92 Regular Recruits Intake Exercise commenced on September 9 and would close on October 21, 2026.
He advised interested and qualified candidates to visit the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng for details of the entry requirements, recruitment guidelines and registration procedures.
Applicants requiring clarification were also advised to contact the recruitment support lines on 07036499094 and 09041116433.
The sensitisation programme formed part of ongoing efforts by the Nigerian Army and the Ekiti State Government to raise awareness about the recruitment exercise and encourage more eligible youths from the state to take advantage of the opportunity to serve their fatherland.
