The Ekiti State Government has approved the payment of the sum of four hundred and fifty eight million, seven hundred and ninety three thousand, ninety six naira ₦(M458,793,96) as severance benefits for Local Government political office holders in the State.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the State Commissioner for Local Govt Affairs, Hon. Folorunso Olabode.
The Statement read that :”the amount was for political office holders that served between 2022 and 2023 across the 16 LGovts of the State.
“The beneficiaries comprised the Vice Chairmen, Secretaries, Councillors,Supervisors and Advisers.”
