Ekiti Speaker Commiserates with Sanwoolu on Lagos Train Accident

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, has commiserated with the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the accident involving a BRT bus and a train that occurred along Shogunle axis on Thursday.

The Speaker in a statement on Friday by her Special Adviser (Media), Odunayo Ogunmola, described the accident as “very sad and unfortunate.”

She commended the Governor Sanwo-Olu for his prompt response to the incident for taking the decision to declare a three days of mourning and suspending campaign activities during the mourning period.

Rt. Hon. Adelugba also sympathized with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident praying God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss of their loved ones.

The Speaker prayed God to grant the deceased eternal repose while equally wishing those injured in the accident now receiving medical attention a quick recovery.

She said the thoughts and prayers of the lawmakers, management and staff of the Ekiti State House of Assembly are with the victims and their families for them to pull through this difficult time.

Rt. Hon. Adelugba also called on drivers to be more cautious and obey traffic rules in the performance of their duties noting that life has no duplicate.
