The Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, Ekiti State has felicitated all Muslims across the state as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.
The board Chairman ,Alhaji Salman Adedipe in a press release made available by Fatima Bello urged the islamic faithful to harness the opportunity for soul purification.
The statement reads: “As this sacred period of spiritual reflection, fasting, and devotion begins, the Board encourages every Muslim to embrace the immense blessings and opportunities it presents for deepening their faith, purifying their souls, and seeking closeness to Allah. We pray that Allah accepts all acts of worship and grants ease throughout this blessed month.”
The Board which emphasized the profound importance of maximizing the benefits of Ramadan stated: “Beyond abstaining from food and drink, this month calls for increased acts of charity, recitation of the Holy Qur’an, sincere supplications, and fostering stronger communal bonds. Muslims are urged to engage in thoughtful introspection, forgive one another, and strive for personal and spiritual growth, embodying the true essence of compassion, generosity, and peace that Ramadan champions.
“Furthermore, the Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board appeals to all adherents of Islam in Ekiti State to use this auspicious month to offer fervent prayers for the continued peace, progress, and stability of our beloved state. We particularly enjoin them to pray for the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, for divine guidance, wisdom, and strength in leading the state. The Board wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the Governor for his unwavering commitment to fostering a peaceful coexistence among all residents, regardless of their religious affiliations”, the board said.
