
The Permanent Secretary, Ekiti State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Mr. Babatope Ojo has charged staff of the Ministry to remain productive and fully committed to their duties in order to enhance food sufficiency and security in the State.

Mr. Ojo gave the charge at the first prayer meeting of the year organised by the Ministry, where he expressed gratitude to God for His benevolence, protection and sustenance over the Ministry and its workforce.

The Permanent Secretary commended Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his continuous support and agriculture-friendly policies, noting that such interventions have strengthened the Ministry’s operations and contributed to the gradual reduction in the prices of food commodities across the State
.
According to him, the progress recorded in the agricultural sector is a reflection of purposeful leadership, sound policies and the collective efforts of workers, urging staff to rededicate themselves to service delivery in the new year.
In his sermon, Pastor Joseph Ajayi of the Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Prayer, Onala, Ado-Ekiti, urged workers to shun evil plans, embrace peace, show mercy, avoid vengeance and allow God to take full control of their lives and endeavours in the year.
Pastor Ajayi stressed that godly conduct, integrity and love for one another are essential for personal growth and effective service to the society.
In their remarks, workers of the Ministry pledged to abide by the rules and ethics of the civil service, assuring the management of their commitment to work diligently towards achieving food security and sustainable agricultural development in Ekiti State.
The prayer meeting ended with thanksgiving and prayers for the success of the Ministry, the State and the Oyebanji-led administration.
