In preparation for the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti state , several groups and organizations have pledged the support for the continuity of Governor ‘ Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his Deputy, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye for 2nd term in office.
The overwhelming endorsement would be further amplified on Wednesday 25th of June, at Fajuyi Pavalion where chairmen and boards members of commissions, and Agencies , who are the appointees of the Governor across the three senatorial District in Ekiti state, would converge to show their solidarity and support for governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his Deputy to continue to run the affairs of Ekiti State for another four years, 2026-2030.
This was announced in a Press release signed by High Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo, the chairman of Ekiti State Environmental Protection Agency, who is the chairman for contact and mobilisation committee for the programme.
The statement stressed that all Chairmen and boards members of commissions and Agencies are expected to attend the event slated for 10 am in the morning.
Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo said :
“the decision of the appointees to back Mr governor for 2nd term in office was based on his visible achievements in the areas of security, education, health, road infrastructure, rural development, agriculture, economic and social investments across the state.
“since the assumption of office of Mr. ‘Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji his humility, accessibility, generousity and ability to bring political leaders together across political parties boundaries in the state, are highly commendable and worthwhile to be supported for 2nd term”
Chief Oguntoyinbo who said accreditation of Chairmen and boards members will take place in the venue, appeals to all appointees to turn up in large numbers to attend the programme.
Other important dignitaries expected to grace the occasion according to the statement are, ” APC Party leaders, members of the state executive Council, Rt Hon Speaker,and his members in the House of assembly, and members of ALGON Ekiti State and Local government executive members.”
