Ekiti 2022: ADP candidate denies stepping down from gov. race

Candidate of the African Democratic Party ADP and only woman in the Ekiti gubernatorial election Engr. Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle has denied a false report trending on the social media that she has stepped down for a particular candidate ahead of the June 18 governoship election.

The governoship hopeful made the clarification in a statement from her Media office which she personally signed and made available to our correspondent this evening.

The statement reads; “I want to use this opportunity to debunk in strong terms, the false and unfounded rumour that I have withdrawn from the June 18 governoship election scheduled to commence in less than 24 hours in Ekiti State

“The wicked rumour can only come from the camp of mischief makers and those who are intimidated by my passion and commitment to liberate Ekiti people from the hands of local slave masters in order to disabuse the minds of my teeming supporters from voting tomorrow.

“It is too late in the day to peddle such rumour and falsehood because it is dead on arrival and I’m not only in the race but I’m in the race to win because nobody can stop an idea whose time has come” she said.
