The first female Governorship Candidate in Ekiti state and the candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in June 18 ,2022 governorship election in the state, Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle has enjoined muslims to utilize the spiritual experience garnered during the holy month of Ramadan for meaningful development and advancement of the society.
This forms part of her congratulatory message to Muslims in Ekiti state and Nigeria at large on successful completion of the fasting and celebration of this year’s Eid-el Fitri.
The message reads:
“It gives me pleasure to felicitate with muslim faithfuls in Ekiti state and Nigeria as a whole for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast which heralds the celebration of Eid-el Fitr.
“I want to specifically thank Almighty Allah for making us to see the end of Ramadan this year together. It is my hope that the lessons learnt shall be put into use and will become the guiding principles in our relationship with Almighty Allah and our fellow human beings”.
“Also, let me use this opportunity to appreciate our Muslim brothers and sisters who have been faithfuly supportive to our cause, and specifically, I used this opportunity to thank all Muslim brothers and sisters who remembered us in their prayers, May Allah reward you for all your good deeds and shower your life with success, knowledge, and prosperity.
“As we celebrate this Eid-el-Fitri, I pray that we shall celebrate many more on Earth by Special Grace of Almighty Allah in renewed faith, love and service to God and mankind.
“Therefore, to all our Muslim clerics, Alfas, Imams, scholars, friends, brothers and sisters, happy celebrations and many more opportunities to witness such special day like today, in God’s love, sound health, joyful moments and service to Ekiti state, Nigeria and humanity in general. Ramadan Kareem!” .She stated.
