Court grants Farotimi N50m bail

A federal high court sitting in Ado Ekiti has granted human rights activist, Dele Farotimi N50m bail in the case of defamation instituted against him by the Ekiti State Police Command.

The police is acting on the petition by Aare Afe Babalola in view of the various statements made by the activist in various social media platforms where he accused the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) of corrupting the judiciary.

His international passport was also confiscated.
