The Okesale Progressive Association, the umbrella body of indigenes of the Okesale clans in Ibedoyin Quarters, Iyin-Ekiti, has unanimously passed a resolution commending the quality of representation of Senator (Dr) Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Senate Majority Leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Oluomo of Iyin-Ekiti.
The resolution, conveyed in a statement issued by Pastor Jide Akinleye and Engr Niyi Faseluka, Chairman and Secretary of the Association, respectively, was reached during the Association’s monthly meeting for February 2026, following a comprehensive review of the Senator’s performance as the elected representative of Ekiti Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
Members of the Association expressed deep satisfaction with the Senator’s legislative effectiveness, leadership visibility, and commitment to constituency representation, noting that his role as Senate Majority Leader has translated into tangible benefits for the district.
“The Association particularly acknowledged the significant infrastructural and human capital development Senator Bamidele has influenced across Ekiti Central District, with special emphasis on projects and interventions that have positively impacted Iyin-Ekiti, thereby improving the quality of life of residents.”
The meeting observed that Senator Bamidele has demonstrated uncommon intentionality in attracting the dividends of democracy to his constituents through strategic engagement, policy influence, and purposeful advocacy at the national level.
According to the Association,” this pattern of responsive leadership reflects a deep understanding of grassroots needs and a genuine commitment to inclusive development and people-centred governance.
“The good people of Okesale clans, therefore, place on record their pride, confidence, and appreciation in Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, describing him as a worthy ambassador of Iyin-Ekiti and a dependable voice for Ekiti Central District.
“The Okesale Progressive Association reaffirmed its support for purposeful leadership and prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and greater impact for Senator Bamidele as he continues to serve the nation and his constituents.”, the constituent said.
