The Nigeria Association of Women Journalist NAWOJ in Ekiti state has tasked wife of the state governor , Dr Olayemi Oyebanji on more concerted efforts with programmes that will promote gender advocacy in the interest of girl child and women development.
NAWOJ gave the charge in a congratulatory message to felicitate the first Lady on the occasion of her birthday anniversary.

The women journalists in a press release by the Chairperson, Mrs Fatima Bello and the secretary Mrs Adewumi Ademiju urged the first lady to continue to protect the interest of women and girl child with different programmes and activities for the sake of women folks and national development.
NAWOJ expressed confidence and optimism that the present administration of governor Biodun Oyebanji has from the inception demonstrated strong interest in gender balancing with a female deputy governor on ground and the recent appointment of a woman as secretary to the state governor SSG.
The women journalists urged the first lady to use her “esteemed position to attract more opportunities and benefits for girl child and women for them to also have positive impacts during her time.”
NAWOJ therefore congratulated the first lady as she adds another year ,”wishing her long live in good health and successful tenure for her and husband “.
