Bamidele symphatises withAramoko-Ekiti Community, Oyebanji over demise of Oba Adegoke

 

The Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has expressed sadness over the passing of HRM (Dr) Adégòkè Olú Adéyem, mni JP, (ARUGBAJOYE ll), the Alárá of Aramoko-Ekiti, who joined his ancestors at the age of 82 years.

Bamidele in a statement issued by his Directorate of Media and Public Affairs, condoled with people of Aramoko-Ekiti and Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji over the passing of the astute public servant, whom he said tirelessly pushed for the development of Aramoko-Ekiti before joining his ancestors.

He recalled that the Late Oba Adegoke as the former chancellor of the state-owned Ekiti State University (EKSU), would be remembered for his numerous contributions to the development of the institution.

Bamidele who also hailed the late monarch as an astute public servant said his reign brought rapid and positive transformation to Aramoko-Ekiti.

The statement reads, ” I am shocked by the passing of our Royal father
HRM Dr. Adégòkè Olú Adéyem, mni JP, (ARUGBAJOYE ll), the Alárá of Aramoko-Ekiti Kingdom, whose reign as Alárá of Aramoko-Ekiti Kingdom witnessed significant development of his community.

“It is on record that during his reign, Oba Adegoke worked with previous state governments and mostly recently the Governor Biodun Oyebanji-led administration to promote peace among his subjects and ensured religious harmony in the culturally enriched Aramoko-Ekiti community.

“His tenure as the Chancellor of the Ekiti State University laid a solid foundation for the development of the institution leading to its recognition as one of the best state universities in the country.

“I hereby condole with Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Alárá in Council and the entire people of Aramoko- Ekiti community.”

Bamidele therefore prayed for the repose of the soul of the highly respected monarch, urging his immediate family to be consoled in the legacy of good name which he left behind.
