The. Chairman of Ado Central Local Council Development Area,LCDA in Ekiti State, Hon. Augustine Toyin Ojo on Tuesday bagged NEWSHEREANDTHERE Meritorious Award of excellence as “Icon on Community Development” of 2023.
The reputable Magazine, NEWSHEREANDTHERE said it conferred the award on the LG boss, prior to his landmark achievement in governance, excellence, service delivery and provision of basic necessity.
Speaking during the award presentation in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, convener of the Magazine, Adewumi Ademiju said her team had been following the activities of the Chairman in the local government since two years in office.
Her words: “The Chairman of this Local Government has been able to make a landmark achievement in governance, as development is concerned.
“He has succeeded in excellence, service delivery and basic necessity.
“Because of these, we have found him worthy to be honoured the NewsHereAndThere award titled ICON ON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT”
In his response, the Chairman hailed the Magazine Team for the award, adding that everything he has been doing are for the benefits of his people.
Hon. Toyin Ojo lauded the state Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for creating the enabling environment for him to perform and execute his aspired projects so that people at his grassroots can enjoy the dividends of democracy.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his staff members” for their support, love and cooperation”, adding that” such feats would not have been recorded without their unwavering commitment.”
The Council Boss pledged to further improve his impact in his host Community in order to complement the shared prosperity agenda of the state governor.
