…..applauds Oyebanji’s ‘Gender Friendly’ administration
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ has charged relevant Stakeholders on more concerted efforts for continuous development on women and Girl Child.
NAWOJ stated this as International Day of Girl Child is celebrated on 11th October.
International Day of the Girl Child, is celebrated across the globe to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world.
The theme of the year 2023, is ‘Our time is now—our rights, our future’
NAWOJ in a press statement by the Chairperson,Mrs Fatima Bello and the Secretary,Mrs Adewumi Ademiju urged the Stakeholders “to focus enough attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights.”
The women Journalists however lauded the administration of the state governor Biodun Oyebanji on Gender Friendliness and girl child development.
The Association calls on relevant Stakeholders to collaborate with government on regular ,prompt and meaningful investment on girl child for adequate development. It also urged the Female child on dedication and committment as key to achieving greater heights in life..
NAWOJ also used the occasion to applaud the wife of the state governor Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji on various programs and activities put in place on girl child development .The Association also celebrated Women and girl child in the state, Nigeria and the world at Large.
