Pa Oyebanji
The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has described the father of the state governor, Pa Ezekiel Olukunle Oyebanji, as an epitome of integrity, who served his state with all sense of dignity and candour.
Rt Hon. Aribasoye said history will be kind to Pa Oyebanji as one personality, who contributed immensely to the growth of scholarship in the Old Ondo and Ekiti State as a school teacher and administrator par excellence.
The Speaker said this in his tribute to Pa Oyebanji, a retired school principal, who clocks 90 on the 15th July, 2023.
The Ikogosi Ekiti born nonagenarian and former school administrator, is the father of the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
The Lawmaker representing Ikole constituency 2 in the Legislature, praised Pa Oyebanji’s unflagging commitment to values of integrity, contentment, self-control, self discipline and incorruptible lifestyle.
He emphasized that these guided principles exhibited by the elderstatesman while in active service, had tremendously smoothen governance in Ekiti under his son as the state governor.
Rt Hon. Aribasoye maintained that the elderstatesman has always been known and respected as a good father, reliable community leader and a staunch statesman in Ekiti, whose footprints will ever remain indelible on the sands of time as someone who sacrificed all for the love of his people.
The ranking lawmaker said: “Baba is a respectable father figure not only to his children, Ikogosi countryhome, but to the entire Ekiti citizens as a result of his impressive past.
“We are grateful to God for allowing you to be alive to witness this deserved this celebration of a worthy and positively impactful life being accorded him by his family, community and admirers .
“Dear Baba, your nine decades on the earth had been attested to be positively impactful and glowingly remarkable in many respects. You are a good father, role model, accomplished teacher and reliable statesman.
“You are indeed a blessing to your generation and those of us coming behind. I pray that the good Lord will grant you good health to live rest of your days. Congrats on this milestone, our dear Baba”.
