Oyebanji’s Second Term Will Surpass First, says Olumilua

A former Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation and former Commissioner for Investment, Trade and Industry in Ekiti State, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua, has congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his inauguration for a second term in office.

In a congratulatory message on Wednesday, Olumilua said the inauguration presents an opportunity not only to celebrate the governor’s renewed mandate but also to acknowledge the remarkable strides his administration made in the last four years.

He said Governor Oyebanji’s first tenure witnessed commendable efforts and significant progress across several critical sectors, reflecting commitment to the development of the state and wellbeing of its people.

Olumilua said the administration’s interventions in agriculture, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, healthcare, education and workers’ welfare deserve recognition.

“I particularly commend the administration for its efforts towards strengthening the agricultural sector, improving infrastructure, creating opportunities for our young people, enhancing access to healthcare and advancing educational development,” Olumilua said.

“Equally worthy of commendation are the administration’s efforts to improve the welfare of civil servants and address the concerns of both serving and retired public officers,” he added.

The former commissioner noted that the achievements provide a solid foundation upon which the governor can build in his second term, expressing confidence that the next four years will bring greater accomplishments.

He encouraged the governor to consolidate the gains already recorded and raise the standard of performance across all sectors, including greater support for farmers, sustained investment in roads, and expanded opportunities for youths in employment and entrepreneurship.

Olumilua also expressed optimism that the governor would sustain his commitment to the welfare of serving civil servants, retirees and elderly citizens through timely payment of salaries, pensions and compassionate policies.

“While appreciating the progress made so far, I believe that Governor Oyebanji’s second tenure offers an even greater opportunity to surpass the achievements of his first term,” Olumilua said.

“The people of Ekiti State have renewed their confidence in his leadership, and I am optimistic that he will respond to that confidence with an even stronger determination to deliver,” he said.

Olumilua wished the governor greater wisdom, strength, good health and success, adding that he looks forward to a second term that consolidates achievements and leaves an enduring legacy of progress and inclusive development.
