The rift between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, appears to be far from over.
In a video that surfaced on Wednesday during the launch of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja, Wike was seen greeting President Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries but appeared to snub Uzodimma, who chairs the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors’ Forum.
The development comes amid reports of a fallout between both politicians after APC governors led by Uzodimma distanced themselves from the Rainbow Coalition, a political group formed by the FCT Minister ahead of the 2027 elections.
While Uzodimma and some governors have reportedly opposed the coalition, others have identified with it, insisting its main focus is the re-election bid of President Tinubu.
