The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, FUTES-IYIN, has announced Monday, October 12, 2026, as resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The Pioneer Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Aribisala, disclosed this during the institution’s maiden press conference.
Aribisala said returning students will resume on October 12, while fresh students will resume on Monday, November 2, 2026.
“I am happy to inform you that the university completed the first academic session (2025/2026) this month, while the 2026/2027 academic session will begin on October 12, 2026,” he said.
The university commenced academic activities on January 5, 2026, and completed its maiden session in August.
The Vice-Chancellor said the university is committed to maintaining a predictable and stable academic calendar to ensure students progress without disruption or delay.
He added that academic activities, examinations, results processing and other academic processes will be properly coordinated to support timely completion of programmes.
Aribisala noted that management remains focused on consolidating the gains of the maiden session, strengthening academic delivery and creating a conducive environment for teaching, learning and research.
