The Global Chairman of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard, Nigeria and Diaspora, Ambassador (Dr.) Dare Owotomobi, has joined millions of Nigerians at home and abroad in celebrating the 66th birthday of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, OON, describing her as a mother whose life continues to speak eloquently through compassion, service, faith and genuine love for humanity.
In a birthday message personally signed by him, Dr. Owotomobi described Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a respectable mother, a woman of faith and the supportive partner of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose life of service has continued to touch the lives of Nigerians beyond the corridors of political power.
He particularly celebrated the First Lady’s commitment to peaceful coexistence among Nigerians of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, noting that her public expression of Christian faith alongside the President’s Islamic faith sends a powerful message that people of different religions can live together peacefully, freely and respectfully without hurting one another.
According to him, “Senator Oluremi Tinubu represents a strong and compassionate First Lady whose social, spiritual, political and humanitarian journey has remained firmly rooted in service to humanity.”
Dr. Owotomobi commended her compassion, humility and devotion to the welfare of Nigerians, particularly young people, women, men, the elderly, the less privileged, persons living with disabilities and other vulnerable members of society.
He observed that her humanitarian disposition complements the people-oriented philosophy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that their shared commitment to the welfare of the people demonstrates the wisdom behind the popular saying that “iron sharpens iron.”
The Global Chairman recalled Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s humanitarian initiatives, from the New Era Foundation during her years as First Lady of Lagos State to the present Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), saying that these platforms have continued to provide hope, opportunities, empowerment and support to numerous Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity, religion or tribe.
Dr. Owotomobi further noted that Senator Tinubu’s interventions have demonstrated that genuine compassion does not need to make noise before it can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
“Having watched your service to humanity from afar, Your Excellency, you have distinguished yourself through sincerity of purpose, humility and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people. You have repeatedly demonstrated that compassion, when genuinely expressed, can transform lives without seeking applause,” he said.
On behalf of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard, Nigeria and Diaspora, Dr. Owotomobi celebrated the First Lady’s strength, grace, faith and continued commitment to humanity, describing her as a mother whose contributions will remain significant to the nation’s social development.

Quoting a Yoruba adage, he said:
“Onílè ni kí ó jẹ́ kí ilé rẹ̀ kí ó má bàjẹ́; agbára òjò kì í ran onílè l’ọwọ́, bí kò ṣe iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ̀.”
He explained that the saying underscores the responsibility of those entrusted with the care of a household or community to remain vigilant and committed to protecting and improving it.
