The Federal Road Safety Corps, Ekiti State Command, has decorated 25 Officers and 79 Other Ranks who were recently promoted.
A press release by the FRSC sector commander in the state CC Sanya Adeoye stated that the two separate ceremonies came up at the Command Headquarters,and at various Unit Commands in the state
Adeoye decorated the newly promoted personnel.
“During the celebration, the Sector Commander expressed appreciation to God Almighty and to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, for the gesture and for counting Ekiti Command worthy.
“He admonished the newly decorated staff to live up to expectations in the discharge of their responsibilities while adorning the new rank, which signifies more work. He charged them to uphold the ideals of the founding fathers of the FRSC by eschewing corruption, maintaining discipline, and ensuring professionalism at all times.”
He further urged them to remain committed to the core mandate of the Corps, which is the reduction of road traffic crashes to the barest minimum and ensuring that Nigerians imbibe a lasting road safety culture.
Concluding, CC Adeoye noted that”promotion is from God” He encouraged those who did not benefit in this exercise to keep their heads high and continue to give their best, as their turn will come at the appropriate time.
The Sector Commander also used the opportunity to appeal to the motoring public to obey all road traffic rules and regulations as we approach the EMBER months, a period known for increased vehicular movement.
He congratulated all the promoted personnel and wished them greater success in their new ranks.
