Idegu Ojonugwa Shadrach, the Nigerian writer, journalist, and activist born in Ochadamu, Ofu Local Government of Kogi State, has received numerous recognitions to his writing career. These awards are the Legacy of Literature Award by The Times Magazine, an award of Literary Excellence by MetroCity Magazine, an award for Quality Contribution by B.P International Publisher and many more. Shadrach is an editor with TrueTellsNigeria Newspaper, a columnist with Blueprint Newspaper, a poetry columnist with NewsOnlineDairy Newspaper, a contributing writer with Periscopenga Newspaper and Founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Compodium. On the international scene, he is an editor with Brilliance Publisher and a reviewer with the African Journal of Political Science and International Relations and International Journal of Sociology and Anthropology (IJSA).
Shadrach is a gifted writer. Despite not reading so widely, he has committed himself to writing in his unique form. His literary career, though reading English Language at the formerly Kogi State University, Anyigba – now Prince Audu Abubakar University, Anyigba, is not his center of inspiration, his inspiration is drawn from the motivation of the natures to secure his purpose of life. To vindicate the claim, Shadrach started writing at 17 when he was in Senior Secondary 2, after he left Ochaja Boys Science Secondary School, Ochaja for his Senior Secondary School Certificates in Community Secondary School, Onicha-Igo in Ofu Local Government of Kogi State where his father was a School Principal. To this, Shadrach largely thought himself how to write after admiring a few world changers in leisure time. His expertise is shown in his subsequent works after the early stages of his career.
Shadrach, who was born on the 15th of February, 1995, is a fervent advocator of a working nation. He channels a good percentage of his writing in political philosophy.
