The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ekiti State Chapter, has joined family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande, founder of the TAJ Foundation, on the occasion of her birthday.
In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti and signed by the Chairperson, Adewumi Ademiju, and Secretary, Funmi Falae, NAWOJ described Mrs. Ajila-Jakande as “a compassionate humanitarian, a pillar of support to vulnerable families, and a true friend to women journalists in Ekiti State.”
Adewumi Ademiju praised the celebrant for her unwavering passion for charity, noting that the TAJ Foundation has consistently provided a lifeline for disadvantaged children, widows, and women striving for better opportunities. She added that Mrs. Ajila-Jakande’s generosity and empathy have strengthened many households and restored hope to countless beneficiaries across the state.
The association highlighted several impactful interventions by the TAJ Foundation, including educational support for orphans, empowerment programmes for women, medical aid for children, and the distribution of essential items to families in need. NAWOJ stated that these initiatives reflect her deep commitment to uplifting humanity and promoting the welfare of those often overlooked.
