Economic Empowerment and Infrastructure * Market Development: To boost local commerce, her administration constructed and renovated numerous lock-up shops and open market stalls across Omuooke, Ilasa, Eda Ile, Isaya, and Araromi Ugbesi Ekiti. A significant renovation of 66 shops at the Omuooke market square was also completed.
Road and Drainage Networks: Over 100 kilometers of rural and township roads have been graded since 2023, improving access for farmers and residents. Critical drainage and culvert projects in towns like Omuooke and Araromi Ugbesi have also been completed, helping to mitigate flooding.
Healthcare and Education
Health Centers: Two fully equipped basic health centers were constructed at Ikun Oba Ekiti and Araromi Oke Ekiti, providing essential medical services closer to the people.
Educational Facilities: An impressive block of five classrooms, complete with offices and toilets, was built and furnished at Community Primary School, Ahan Ekiti. Educational support also included the distribution of 10,000 exercise books and school bags to pupils.
Social Welfare and Support
Artisan and Trader Support: Hon. Omonusi’s administration has provided a wide range of tools and equipment to artisans, including grinding machines, sewing machines, hair dryers, and vulcanizer materials. Financial support was also extended to 200 market women and 40 small-scale business owners, providing them with capital to grow their businesses.
Community Welfare: From distributing 200 delivery kits to less-privileged pregnant women to providing free eye glasses to 250 residents, her initiatives have a direct and tangible impact on the most vulnerable.
Security and Public Utilities
Enhanced Security: The purchase and distribution of 12 motorcycles to security agencies and the provision of helmets and reflective jackets have strengthened security patrols across the LCDA.
Water and Power: Efforts to improve public utilities include the rehabilitation of solar boreholes, the conversion of solar to motorized boreholes, and the installation of 45 solar streetlights, enhancing safety and access to clean water.
