PMB: Security Mounted in Daura

In preparation for the burial of former president Muhammadu Buhari,security personnel have taken over key areas in Daura and katsina metropolitan.

The relatives and friends of the former president are also expecting the arrival and funeral prayers of the late president.

It was observed that since Monday night key areas in Daura that include roads leading to the house of the late president and Emir of Daura palace had been cordoned off by stern-looking security agents.

In Katsina metropolis, security were seen in Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport where the copse of the late president is expected to land with some dignitaries awaiting arrival of the remains.

Check points were also being mounted from the airport to Daura road and Kayuki Village, just as restriction of movement between Daura and Katsina was emplaced from early the morning of Monday.

All major roundabouts in Katsina metropolis were being taken over by military personnel.

Findings also indicated that all major hotels in the capital, Katsina were being booked by Buhari’s loyalists and former ministers as the funeral prayers shifted to Tuesday afternoon.

Governor Dikko Radda had announced the late president’s will in which he asked to be buried in his home town, Daura.

The governor also declared a two-day holiday for school children and the entire civil servants in the state.
