80th Birthday: Tinubu’s wife celebrates Victoria Gowon

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has felicitated wife of former Head of state Victoria Gowon,on her 80th birthday anniversary.

Oluremi Tinubu, in a birthday message, described Mrs Gowon’s life as an embodiment of grace, service, humility and strength.

The First Lady joined General Yakubu Gowon, family members, friends and loved ones in celebrating Victoria Gowon on the occasion of her 80th birthday, which she described as an “Oak Jubilee.”

Tinubu commended the former First Lady for her contributions to Nigeria during her time in office, particularly her service to the nation during a defining period in the country’s history.

“As a former First Lady of Nigeria, you served our dear nation with dignity during a defining period in our history,” Oluremi Tinubu said.

She also praised Victoria Gowon’s enduring commitment to faith, family and the wellbeing of less privileged Nigerians, noting that her efforts had continued to touch many lives.

The First Lady prayed for Victoria Gowon to celebrate many more years in good health, peace, joy and happiness.

“Happy Birthday, Your Excellency!” she added.

Victoria Gowon served as Nigeria’s First Lady during the military administration of her husband, General Yakubu Gowon, who was Head of State from 1966 to 1975.
