The three thousand beneficiaries of free Joint Admission Matriculation Board e-PINs programme in Ekiti State have been encouraged to prepare diligently for the forthcoming examinations, remain focused, and strive for excellence.
Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji gave the advice in Ado Ekiti, while distributing the E-pins to the qualified beneficiaries across the state.
While admonishing the students on the need to fill-in right subject combinations, Dr Oyebanji explained that the success of the beneficiaries in the forthcoming JAMB examination would not only make their families proud, but also serve as a beacon of hope for the younger generation.
Dr. Oyebanji also maintained that the initiative was another testimony to the unwavering commitment of the present administration to the educational advancement of the youths every year.
She said, “Education remains the foundation of sustainable development and the key to unlocking the immense potential within young people.
“Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, we have continued to implement progressive policies aimed at ensuring that every child in Ekiti State, regardless of background or socio-economic status, has access to good quality education. She added.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Adebimpe Aderiye said the government had used the platform to demonstrate the belief that no talented ,and hardworking students would suffer set back due to financial constraints.
In their various goodwill messages, some of the stakeholders in the state’s educational sector urged the beneficiaries to make use of the opportunity and excel in their examinations.
The stakeholders, which include; the board chairman, Ekiti State Agency for Adult and Non Formal Education, Chief Iyabo Fafure; Special Adviser to the Governor on Tertiary Education, Prof. Azeez Apempe; SUPEB Chairman, Prof. Femi Akinwumi; Princess Adetoun Agboola and Mrs. Rhonda Ojo eulogized the good gesture of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and charged benefiting candidates to justify the huge amount the government is expending on the examination by scoring very well in the exam.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Master Isaac Ajimati, appreciated the state government for the payment of the examination fees and promised that the candidates would make the state proud by coming out in flying colors.
