2027: Judge Me By My Performance, Natasha Tells Kogi Central Voters

The battle for Kogi Central ahead of 2027 is heating up as Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has sent a clear message to her rivals.

Akpoti-Uduaghan said voters should look closely at what candidates have done before casting their ballots in 2027.

She spoke to reporters in Abuja on Sunday, saying leaders should be judged on their results and how they served.

“Most of the people running have held office before, so voters now have a chance to measure them by what they actually delivered,” she said.

The senator listed her achievements in Kogi Central to include roads, clean water projects, school blocks, scholarships, digital learning tools, health facilities, markets for women and solar streetlights.

She said from 2027 to 2031 she plans to build on those gains and push development further in the district.

Her comments came after former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello said he is confident he will defeat her.

Speaking in an online interview, Bello said the election on January 16, 2027 will settle the matter and predicted a big win for himself and the APC.
