The Ekiti Chairmen and members of Board, Agencies, Parastatals and Commissions has endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji for second term in office ahead of June,2026 Gubernatorial election.
The endorsement programme was held at Fajuyi Pavilion on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti.
In his welcome address, the Boss of Chairmen of Agencies, Parastatals and Commissions in Ekiti, Mr Samuel Abejide, said he was delighted with the turn out of members for the programme.
Abejide said the objective of the programme was to officially declare their unconditional support for the second term of governor Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Monisade Afuye.
He said the endorsement programme for Oyebanji goes beyond their social gathering but to show their loyalty, love and trust in his administration.
” Governor Biodun Oyebanji has earned respect from both young and old indigenes of Ekiti, he is a leader who respect everyone, regardless of their position or status.
” His unique character, prompted the chairmen and members of commissions, agencies and parastatals to willingly adopt his traits and decide to express our mind by endorsing him for second term in office,” he said.
Similarly, the Chairman of Contact and Mobilization for the programme, Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo and Chairman of Public Works, Mr Oluyemi Esan commended the various achievement of Governor Oyebanji in the area of infrastructure, Agriculture, Health , and prompt payment of gratuities of pensioners among others.
They urged members of the boards to reach out their families and friends to support the endorsement of Oyebanji for second term in office.
Speaking on behalf of the State Executive Council, the Commissioner for land and Urban development Mr Oladapo Karounwi, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habitat Adubiaro, Speaker Ekiti Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, thanked the political appointees for their unconditional love and support for the governor.
They urged the board chairmen and members of various agencies, parastatals, commissions and residents to collect their Permanent Voters Card(PVC) to be eligible to cast their vote for governor Oyebanji in June,2026 governorship election.
Also, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Mr Sola Eleshin represented by Mr Bamidele Fatile thanked the political appointees for endorsing the Oyebanji for second term.
Affirming the genuity of the endorsement rally, a former Majority Leader in Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr Kayode Babade from Ekiti South Senatorial District moved motion for the endorsement of the governor Oyebanji while Mrs Fola-RichieĀ Adewusi seconded the motion and all the political appointees backed it.
Responding, the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji expressed his joy and happiness for the turn out of all political appointees to endorse his second term in office.
Oyebanji, who was represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Political Party Matters, Chief Jide Awe urged all political stakeholders to start sensitising their people to collect their PVC.
He explained that the endorsement rallies can only yield results the people cast their vote using their PVC.
” I am delighted with the massive turnout of all political appointees in agencies, parastatals and commissions.
” It is our collective achievement and trust in my administration that is making Ekiti people to be eager to return us to the office for second term.
” Therefore, I want to appeal to all political stakeholders not to rely on endorsement rallies only but ensure that our people at the grassroot collect their PVC to be eligible to vote for us in June,2026 governorship election,” he said.
