Shortly after he purchased the form, a video emerged on the social media, where the former Ekiti governor was seen eating amala and ponmo, a popular Nigerian dish, at a restaurant in Abuja, evoking public reactions.

The former senator representing Kogi west, Dino Melaye, has reprimanded former governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, for “demarketing” presidential hopefuls in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking in an interview on Channels Television on the 2023 presidential election, Fayose, reproached the presidential aspirations of the former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, and the former senate president, Bukola Saraki.

Melaye while reacting to Fayose’s comment, in a statement on Thursday said, Fayose is ‘demarketing’ potential presidential candidature in the party to skyrocket the chances of his political godfather in the APC.

He asked the national president of the PDP to tackle Fayose on his words, stating that the presidency is an important affair beyond eating ‘amala and ponmo’.

Reacting to Melaye’s statement, Fayose, In a chat with newsmen, described Melaye, as ” a political hushpuppi of no value” adding that his (Fayose) priority remains in how Nigerians could be rescued from the clutches of the APC menace that the ‘political jester’ of Kogi collaborated with to extol.

According to Fayose’s  special adviser on Media  Lere Olayinka

” No time to dignify any #Hushpuppi politician who is capable of sleeping on three different political beds in one night.”

The statement reads in part:

” If the man he is deceiving with his fake support speaks, we will respond accordingly.

” As for Fayose, Nigeria and its people must be rescued from this APC Calamity that ,that political jester of Kogi teamed up with others to enthrone.”

” That is a project to which he (Fayose) is totally committed, not rantings of a jester in the palace of politics.

“We Move!”
