in its quest to further sensitize the public on the essence of hijab being the female muslims’ mode of dressing in islam, the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria, (FOMWAN) Ekiti State chapter will today Tuesday February 1, 2022 organize a day seminar.
The seminar which holds at the Ado Ekiti Central Mosque hall between 10am and 1pm will feature two sessions of lecture.
The first lecture with the theme ” HIJAB IS OUR CROWN, NOT A CRIME” will feature Hajia Habibat Adaramola Yusuf as the guest speaker while the second lecture with the theme ” END HIJABPHOBIA IN NIGERIA” will feature Dr Kamaldeen of the Ekiti State University.
The Amirah of FOMWAN, Ekiti State, Alhaja Mariam Akingbade said “the seminar is open to all muslims especially women from all muslims organizations and schools in the state”.
She said the themes of the seminar were “to open the eyes of government, parents and the general public to the need to allow and encourage ladies willing to use hijab in the society”
The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) Ekiti State noted that this year’s program is to commemorate the World Hijab Day held on First of February every year as stipulates by the United Nations in recognition of the Freedom of Expression relating to dressing .
