Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has reacted to the suspension levelled on him by the National body of the People’s Democratic party,PDP.
The PDP had in a statement announced the suspension of the former Governor and a former Senate President/Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim. Other party officials suspended include; Prof. Dennis Ityavyar and Dr. Aslam Aliyu.
The PDP in the statement signed and released by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba said the suspension of the aforementioned party officials takes effect from Thursday, March 23, 2023
Fayose who reacted through his Spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, said “Ayu and his cohorts are only entertaining themselves with the purported suspension as their latest comedy skit.”
He described the suspension by the Senator Iyorchia Ayu led National Working Committee of the party as “the last kick of a dead horse.”
He said in a matter of days, “the inglorious tenure of Ayu as national chairman of PDP will become history and the party will enjoy a new lease of life”.
The former Governor, said that himself and others who stood by the party when Ayu and his cohorts left it to die will rescue it and give life back in due course.The purported suspension will have no leg to stand.
