The Management of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital,EKSUTH has refuted the allegations of salary deductions and other entitlements.
The EKSUTH management in a press release on Tuesday by the
Head, Corporate Affairs, Rolake Adewumi stated there is no iota of truth in the news making the rounds on the allegations made against the Management by the Medical and Health Workers Union of the Hospital.
While responding to the allegations, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Professor Kayode Olabanji, noted that from January, 2024 to August 2026, every member of staff
has been paid and paid in full.
On the issue of promotion of staff, the CMD pointed out that: “promotion has been conducted regularly till date”, adding that 2026 promotion has been concluded and implemented, stressing that even with the new tax, nobody had any reduction in his/her
take-home.
He explained that :”the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has been so good to the Hospital in all areas, including the increment in subventions and all the monies received were disbursed without delay.”
The EKSUTH boss said that most of the other allegations were unfounded.
Prof. Olabanji added that :since the salaries are being paid fully, other benefits had been included’, adding that “staff welfare has been taken, and will continue to be top priority
at all times.”
