Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, has approved an immediate three-month salary top-up for all civil servants and local government employees in Oyo State.
This financial intervention is specifically designed to cushion the economic impact of the recent nationwide increase in premium motor spirit (PMS) prices, ensuring that the state’s dedicated workforce can navigate the rising cost of transportation and essential services.
“Under this new directive, all eligible workers will receive a ₦10,000 monthly subsidy in addition to their regular salaries, effective from April 2026. This support package will run for an initial duration of three months, with the administration committed to reviewing the economic climate at the end of the period to determine further necessary actions.”
