The spokesman for the House of Representatives, Hon. Akintunde Rotimi, is expected to deliver the maiden edition of the annual public lecture organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti Council, in honour of the first Chief Press Secretary in Ekiti State, Chief Biodun Akin Fasae.
Rotimi will be speaking on the theme: “The Media and Artificial Intelligence, AI,” after which there will be a panel discussion on the topic “Holding Government Accountable: The Best Approach.”
A statement by the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, says the event will take place on Friday, the 27th of March, 2026, at the Sanni Abacha Hall, Okebarike, Old Governor’s Office, Ado Ekiti, by 10 a.m.
The statement confirms that the event will be attended by distinguished personalities from all walks of life and will be broadcast live on several Radio Stations and some social media platforms.
At the event, Hon. Akintunde Rotimi, Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development, Gold Adesola, Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatubosun, and the Chief Executive Officer of YSJ Agro Allied Limited, Oluwayemisi Joluwe, will be decorated with a National Award of Excellence, as approved by the NUJ National President, Alhaji Alhassan Yahaya.
Members of the public are enjoined to attend the programme to contribute to the discussion.
