A staff of Radio Nigeria, Progress FM, Ado Ekiti who doubles as the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Ekiti State Council, Kayode Babatuyi has been decorated with another award of excellence by the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools, ASUSS, Ekiti State Chapter.
The award which is coming barely two weeks after the journalist was recognised by the Federation of Ekiti State Students Union, FESSU was in recognition of his outstanding professionalism in his Journalism career and display of leadership qualities.
Presenting the award to Babatuyi during the Gala Night of the Union in Ado Ekiti, National President of ASUSS, Sola Adigun described Babatuyi as” a thoroughbred professional who has shown rare diligence and excellence in the practice of Journalism.”
Other dignitaries who spoke at the event urged other journalists “to take a cue from Babatuyi especially in the areas of creativity, integrity, hard work and service delivery.”
Receiving the award, Kayode Babatuyi dedicated it to God, his station Radio Nigeria where he started his career as a SIWES student and all journalists in Ekiti.
Babatuyi confirmed that the award would propel him to do more.
