The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi Afuntade 1 has felicitated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Babatunde Ogunwusi,Ojaja ll on his10th year anniversary as reverred monarch in Yoruba land.
Alawe in a press release he personally signed and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti stated that Ooni’s reign has facilitated peaceful coexistence in the entire Yoruba race across the world. The monarch specifically lauded the leadership prowess of Ooni with appreciation also on the support for his community, Ilawe Ekiti.
The statement reads:
“I write on behalf of my family and the entire people of Ilawe-Ekiti to congratulate the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Babatunde Ogunwusi,Ojaja ll on his10th year of ascension to the highly reverred throne of Ooni.
“Your Imperial Majesty, your reign has brought love, unity and sense of purpose to the entire people of Yorubaland as well as Yoruba people in other parts of the world such as the Caribbean and South America.
“Kabiesi,your love and support for me and the people of Ilawe-Ekiti is unquantifiable and unparalleled.
Your prompt and frequency in attending to Ilawe issues were deeply noted by myself as the Alawe and the entire people of Ilawe-Ekiti both at home and in the Diaspora.
“As the Ooni , your father figure and leadership style have drawn admiration not only by my people but by all in Yorubaland .
It is on record that you constantly fulfilled the promise you made during my tenth coronation anniversary in 2022 and the launch of my autobiography that you would continue to honour any invitation from Ilawe-Ekiti.
“I don’t want to forget in a hurry your huge and positive support for me and Ekiti Traditional Rulers when I was the Chairman of Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers from 2019 – 2021. You personally visited us in the State to ensure peace amongst members of the Traditional Council. Your Imperial Majesty is deeply appreciated for this show of love.
“As you celebrate your 10th anniversary as the Arole Oodua, May God grant you many more years of celebrations on the throne of your forefathers.
