Children’s Day: NAWOJ Ekiti Urges Investment in Child’s Education , Skills

 

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ekiti State Chapter, has joined in the celebration of the 2025 Children’s Day, calling for greater investment in the wellbeing, education, and development of Nigerian children.

In a statement signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Adewumi Ademiju, and the Secretary, Comrade Funmi Falae, the association aligned with this year’s national theme, “Enhancing the Total Wellbeing of Children Through Quality Education and Skill Development,” describing it as a vital call to action for all stakeholders.

NAWOJ Ekiti emphasized that children are the foundation of the nation’s future and urged the government to prioritize policies that guarantee safe learning environments, access to quality education, and practical skills that prepare children for life and leadership.

The association also appealed to parents, caregivers, and community leaders to protect children from abuse and neglect, stressing the need for stronger collaboration to create a safe and supportive society for every child.

NAWOJ concluded by reaffirming its commitment to advocating child development and wished all Nigerian children a joyful and inspiring Children’s Day celebration.
