As all politicall parties are gearing up for the primary elections for the 2022 Gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, a lawmaker representing Emure constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba has said the unity and peace of Ekiti state remains sacrosanct.
Speaking on the preparedness of the legislative arm to resume duties for the year 2022, Hon. Adelugba said “the lawmakers were prepared to ensure the needful is done to sustain the existing peace and tranquility being enjoyed by the state are sustained”
She noted that “politics must not divide Ekiti State being the only homogeneous and peaceful state in the country, hence the need for the political class to play the rules in accordance to game of politics”
The chairman , Ekiti State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation who also doubles as the Chief Whip said the lawmakers from different constituencies across the state have the responsibility to complement government’s efforts at entrenching harmonious relationship among all classes of people in the state before , during and after the forthcoming 2022 Governorship election.
She commended the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi for the fatherly role played at ensuring peace reigns among all political parties and other key institutions in the state.
The Emure Ekiti born legislator assured that members of the legislative arm were prepared to do their jobs diligently in 2022 to make the implementation of the jobs of the executive arm easy and for the general public to enjoy the deserved dividends of democracy.
While expressing optimism that the three tiers of government in the state will synergize in according priority to the wellbeing of the people, she congratulated government and people of Ekiti state on witnessing year 2022 in peace.
